Scar Restoration

Using specialised needles that penetrate the dermis, we trigger a wound heal response that stimulates keratinocytes, fibroblasts, cytokines and growth factors to produce collagen, elastin and Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs).

By triggering these steps within the localised area of the scar we can improve texture, tone and appearance.

To optimise this clinical end point, a course of treatments will be needed to ensure the collagen production effect is embedded in the skin and achieves optimal results.

We will review the scar after the recommended course of treatments and assess any potential to optimise the clinical end point with medical micropigmentation.

Types of scarring that are treatable:

  • Face-lift scars
  • Allied breast scarring
  • FUE / FUT scarring
  • Brachioplasty (arm lift)
  • Abdominoplasty (tummy)
  • Scarring from problematic skin conditions such as acne
  • Striae (stretch marks)
  • Self harm scars
  • Hypertrophic scars
  • Pitted or sunken scars
  • Scar contractures

Skin Camouflage for Scarring, Stretch Marks, Vitiligo and Skin Grafts

Using an advanced dispersion technique- Skin Camouflage helps to provide aesthetic improvement on scarring, stretch marks, vitiligo (not the eye area) and skin grafts.

The pigmentation is inserted within the dermal layer of the skin using a digital machine. The colour is skilfully placed using specialist pigments to help match the natural skin tones. The reason why we place the pigment in the dermis and not the epidermis is to help provide longevity of the colour in the area.

It is important to understand that this process uses a specialist pigment and not tattoo ink. The body’s natural healing process will over time lighten and try and remove the pigment, therefore top up treatments may be required.
This is classed as an advanced medical micropigmentation treatment.

Natasha, our Senior Practitioner has specialised in Medical Micropigmentation since 2018 and has undertaken her full training with the world’s leading training providers for skin camouflage and scar restoration.

We advise that a course of Medical Needling or Laser treatments are required before Micropigmentation.
